Ezimoov, a brand committed to the environment

Ezimoov, une marque engagée en faveur de l'environnement

A brand involved with concrete actions

At Ezimoov, our mission goes far beyond creating car accessories for family trips. We inject our values and our desire for transparency into each product.

Concrete commitments in favor of the environment

We have always been committed to the planet, but a little discreet. Now, we have decided to put the spotlight on our actions. And yes, we donate 1% of our turnover to causes that are close to our hearts, notably the environment.

The quest for ecological perfection is not a clear-cut highway. We move forward, we stumble, but we remain transparent. We are aiming high: by the end of 2024, more than 90% of our products will be made from recycled materials. And for the travel of our products, we say no to the plane and yes to cargo – slower but so much greener when you think in large quantities!

Eco-design is our Holy Grail. We integrate the environment from the genesis of our products. Our objective ? Multi-use, durable and recyclable items; why not ! We are in mission impossible mode against plastic pollution, especially that of the oceans. So, our packaging has said goodbye to plastic.

We have reached a milestone!

And now, let's talk about our big favorite: adopting a coral reef! Planted on December 24, 2023 in the Maldives by The Coral Planters , it was our gift to the planet and a nod to our festive spirit. Reefs are like the oxygen of our oceans, they are home to incredible wildlife and protect our coasts. By adopting a reef, we dive head first into saving these marine treasures.

The structures are made of metal and coated with a mixture of sand and natural resin. This mixture acts as a substrate by facilitating the anchoring and development of corals. The structures, once submerged, are regularly monitored to check for algae or prevent coral bleaching. If this happens, the reef is moved to ensure its development.

Why is the preservation of coral reefs so important?

Extraordinary Biodiversity : Coral reefs are home to approximately 25% of all marine life, although they only cover less than 1% of the ocean floor. This density of biodiversity makes them comparable to tropical forests in terms of ecological richness.

Habitat for Marine Species : More than 4,000 species of fish, 800 types of stony corals and thousands of other plant and animal species find shelter and food in coral reefs.

Coastal Protection : Coral reefs serve as natural barriers, protecting coastlines from erosion and storms. They are estimated to reduce wave energy by 97%, protecting coastal ecosystems and human communities.

Supporting Fisheries : Around 500 million people worldwide depend on coral reefs for food and income. Reefs provide essential habitats for many fished species.

Research and Medicines : Coral reefs are an important source for medical research, offering prospects for new medicines, particularly in the areas of cancer, viral diseases, and inflammation.

However, coral reefs are seriously threatened by climate change, pollution, overfishing, and destructive fishing practices. Preserving reefs is therefore essential not only for the health of the oceans, but also for the economic and environmental well-being of many communities around the world.
